Historic Motorcycle Exhibition
In keeping with a long-standing tradition, Piazza Leonardo da Vinci will be the main exhibition point for racing cars from Moto Guzzi’s glorious sporting past, surrounded by several stupendous stock or prepared motorbikes, all gathered together near Carlo Guzzi at his Monument, the ideal opening door of the expostition. So expect gems such as the Dondolino, the C4V, the Moto Guzzi 350 twin cam, the 8 cylinder and many others.
Fashion and Motorcycle Parade
Once again, Piazza Italia will be the theatre for the fascinating Fashion and Motorcycle parade, with the beautiful girls of the Polisportiva who will parade in wedding dresses corresponding to the year of the Moto Guzzi they have at their side. Not to be missed!
The Moto Guzzi of Antonio Ligabue
We are delighted to announce a very special exhibition: thanks to the Antonio Ligabue House Museum in Gualtieri, the Square Art Center in via Volta will be exhibiting the Moto Guzzi Sport 14 of the great naive painter, who was so fond of Moto Guzzi that he owned no less than 16 of them!
In addition, thanks to the collaboration with Square Art Center, there will be various art exhibits dotted around the town.
Volevo Nascondermi
On Friday evening, at the Fabrizio De André Municipal Theatre in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, a screening of the beautiful film on the life of Antonio Ligabue ‘Volevo nascondermi’ (I wanted to hide myself) will be presented by the managers of the House Museum dedicated to the unforgettable artist.
Eagle Market
By popular demand, we are once again opening the market dedicated to Moto Guzzi motorcycles and related spare parts, housed at the Library. The exhibition is reserved for private individuals. For information and reservations: info@prolocomandello.it – Tel. 3355470555
Ettore Gambioli exhibition
The multifunctional space at the Lido will host a gallery of works and drawings dedicated to Moto Guzzi by the great artist from Cagli, creator of the monument to Carlo Guzzi and of the one dedicated to Giorgio Parodi: an unmissable collection of lights, colours and portraits of our favourite motorbikes.
ASI
In the car park a short distance from the Moto Guzzi factory, the Automotoclub Storico Italiano will be present in an official capacity with a dedicated stand, where you will find gadgets and information for historic practices and any other kind of advice.
Motorcars exhibition
Moto Guzzi is not just about two wheels: with an extra wheel, history-making models were born both for work and for pleasure. A vast exhibition of Moto Guzzi three-wheelers will be hosted at the Oratorio San Lorenzo, including an exhibition on the history of the motorcar by the Città dei Motori di Mandello.
3×3 Mulo Meccanico and V7 Police Sidecar
A passion for Moto Guzzi has always also infused our police forces: in Via Manzoni the Moena Police Alpine Training Centre and the Padua Police Force will be present, allowing us to closely admire one of the most unusual vehicles born from the Mandello factory: the 3×3 Mulo Meccanico (mechanical mule), topped off by two V7 Polizia sidecars. Just another highlight of the Motoraduno Internazionale Città della Moto Guzzi.
Bimbi in Moto Association – Mini electric motorbike test
The test track to teach the little ones how to ride a motorbike will also be available this year, thanks as always to the Associazione Bimbi in Moto, present since 2019 and founded by trials talent Emanuel Angius, together with two other Mandello citizens, Fabio Porchia and Emiliano Cortenuova – both motocross experts.
Guided tour of Maggiana Tower
During the rally days, thanks to the Associazione Gruppo Amici di Maggiana, it will be possible to visit the famous Maggiana Tower, dating back to the 12th century and where Barbarossa found refreshment while enjoying its museum and the splendid view of the surroundings.
Museum tour
300 curves, 110 km, 2 museums and a restaurant: For those who don’t want to miss out on an excursion along the enchanting lake, on Thursday 12 September the Gruppo Amici di Maggiana (GAMAG) will lead a tour between Mandello, Menaggio, Pianello del Lario and Piona, enjoying gorgeous landscapes and a visit to 2 museums. Music live
The big celebration of the Motoraduno Internazionale Città della Moto Guzzi always includeds great live music: on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings tons of roaring decibels will be pumping from the stage in Piazza Garibaldi: it will be hard to stand still with all that rock’n’roll! Keep an eye on the Committee’s official website (www.motoradunomandello.com) to stay up to date with the line-up for the three live musical evenings.
Custom Street
Another “smack one’s lips” exhibition: Via Medaglie Olimpiche will host the stands of the best Moto Guzzi tuners and customisers, with many jewels on display, including whole motorbikes and special parts to make one’s jaw drop: don’t miss it!
Le Vie del Naco
There are Guzzisti who have had (and still have) the audacity to embark on crazy journeys in the saddle of their Moto Guzzis: for them, there are no impassable borders: Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, Sudan, Japan… you will find them enthusiastically recounting their adventures and available for any questions at the dedicated stand in Piazza Garibaldi.
Lottery
Last but not least, the always enticing Motoraduno Lottery will be offering exceptional prizes: who will be the lucky winner of the first prize, a stunning Moto Guzzi V7 Stone in exclusive livery dedicated to the event? But that’s not all: the second lucky individual will win a mini cruise in the Mediterranean for four days (3 nights) enjoying natural beauty and fascinating cities such as Barcelona and Marseille. The third prize is a Moto Guzzi V leather jacket; the fourth a Moto Guzzi Adventure V85TT helmet and the fifth a Moto Guzzi leather top case!
RECEPTION AND REGISTRATION
Hospitality has always been the cornerstone of the organization of the Motoraduno Internazionale Città della Moto Guzzi: the main food area in Piazza Garibaldi will be joined by several other refreshment points capable of satisfying the greatest hunger (and thirst!) of Guzzi fans, which you will find indicated in the map attached to the final program currently undergoing its finishing touches. In addition, this year you will be able to register for the event at two stands dedicated to the Motoraduno Internazionale (one near the Moto Guzzi and the other in Piazza Garibaldi); with your registration you will receive exclusive Guzzi swag: a bag, pin, patch and certificate of participation.
Camping
For those who prefer to stay in their own tent, there is a special camping area and facilities at the sports field (a stone’s throw from Piazza Garibaldi) and at the Polisportiva Mandello headquarters, which can be booked through the Polisportiva: write to info@polisportivamandello.it.
Motoraduno Città della Moto Guzzi
It is under the banner of Motoraduno Città della Moto Guzzi (Moto Guzzi City Motorcycle Rally) that is gathered together the new, tried-and-tested group of Associations that will organise events and hospitality throughout Mandello del Lario: the Polisportiva Mandello Association, the I Laghée Motorcycle Association, the Cooperativa Sociale Incontro Onlus, the Corpo Musicale Mandellese, the Canottieri Moto Guzzi, and the Città dei Motori. Naturally, there will be no lack of collaboration with the Mandello del Lario Municipal Administration.
